FDA Veterinary Feed Directive (VFD) Info

The Veterinary Feed Directive (VFD) rules promulgated by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) will change how many feed stores and farm supply stores do business.  When the rules become effective, feed products that could previously be sold over the counter will require certain documentation issued by a veterinarian.  Click the link below to view a flier issued by the FDA on August 10, 2015 about the Veterinary Feed Directive (VFD).  It includes high-level information about how the new VFD rules might apply to distributors of medicated feed products that include drugs covered by the VFD.
